  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Any Original Genesis Owners Still around?

I still have my 2010 Genesis 3.8 Sedan with 145,000 miles. I am having issue with radio sound initially intermittent on/off and now no sound at all.
I added an after market amplifier due to original sound is very low. The CD player got locked up with disc not rejecting out. Intermittent on/off sound happened 6 months ago and now no sound at all. Is this the amp or the head unit? I had the after market amp installed in 2010. Any suggestions is appreciated. TIA

Check out the tech side of the BH sedans on this forum for radio and sound issues. Might be helpful.

Did you try pulling the fuse for the audio system? I had issues with the screen either not turning on, or no sound, or other random software bugs. Resetting the unit by pulling the fuse, waiting 30 seconds, and putting it back in helped.
