I remember a while back hearing that Hyundai was considering expanding the model lineup. Does anyone know anything about possible plans to offer a crossover SUV once the AWD becomes available?

Should I assume you mean a "Genesis" style SUV/crossover? Hyundai currently offers the Tucsan, Sante Fe, and Veracruz
According to John Krafcik (President and CEO of Hyundai Motor America), the main purpose of offering the Genesis (and Equus) in the US under the Hyundai brand (instead of their own brand like in Korea) is to build up the reputation of the Hyundai brand in the USA. "Build the Brand" is the HMA mantra.Hyundai had a great start out of the gates with the Genesis brand but hasn't done much with the Genesis line since. One almost wonders if Genesis will fall back into the fold of Hyundai since the Hyundai brand has risen so much over the past few years.
