  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Any way to add heated wipers or wiper fluid to '26 3.5 SP?

I live in MN and we've been having a very snowy winter. This is my first car without heated wipers (or at least heated wiper fluid) in 6 years and it is DRIVING ME MAD!! I just finished two 3 hours drives in the snow in which I had to turn the car into a sauna, run the defrost on full blast the entire time, and still had to pull into a couple gas stations because the windshield was icing over. There must be a better way for a $75k luxury compact SUV.

A quick AI search said G80, G90, and GV80 have heated wipers as options. Is there any way to repurpose those parts for the GV70? If not, has anyone found a good aftermarket way to add them?

Will windshield wiper fluid with de-icer (to minus 30-degrees) not work, or have you already tried it? I've never heard of heated wipers or heated wiper fluid.

That only solves 1/2 of the problem. The blades themselves still freeze up and stop following the curve of the windshield. That means they leave giant streaks that ice up and ruin visibility

Set the HVAC to split airflow between the windshield and the floor. Flip both sun visors down so they help trap warm air against the windshield.
