Anybody's car ever stall?

Mine stalled this morning while stopped at a light. I'd probably been on the road all of a minute or two -- this was just down the block from the house.

Took me by surprise, though; I actually thought somebody bumped me from behind at first, as it was idling totally normal, then a sudden jolt and I realized it was no longer running. It started right back up, no trouble lights, etc, ran fine the 15 min drive to the office up through 55-60mph and multiple subsequent stops.

Anyway, first time it's done it and was kind of weird the way it didn't stumble or anything, just stalled suddenly with a big thump, like stalling a standard transmission car.

Our 2018 G90 5.0 stalled out on us once while waiting in a drive through. Nothing dramatic just the engine stopped almost like cars with auto stop start do. It started right back up and haven’t had any major problems since.

However, a couple months later, we did get a DTC for cold air intake idle control or something but then after a couple days the code cleared on its own. The car does however rough idle only after a cold start.

This was more like letting off the clutch without giving it any throttle, just a sudden, physically noticeable bump and instantly dead.

For what it's worth, it hasn't done it again so far, nor has it exhibited any other idle/shifting irregularities.

Maybe one of those times to cross my fingers and put out of mind.
