  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Year

Email subject line is "A token of gratitude, from Genesis" and says they're offering a "special welcome gift" for owners who purchased in 2022. Obviously suspicious at first, but It's from the same email address as other Genesis communications, and appears legitimate. Screenshot below...rest of email promotes MyGenesis, Connected Services, etc...

Anyone else get this?

I have not and did not received it when I made my purchase, but it could be something specific to the model/trim you purchased or the dealer you purchased from. As long as you confirm the sender and actual email address (not just the visual of the "from"), then I would say it's a legit email. There have been others who have posted about getting a small gift form the dealership or Genesis.

Thanks. Took delivery a couple months ago and got a gift package from my dealership. This looks to be different and from the corporate level.

I did. No issues.

I did last year. I believe at the time it was a magazine subscription or something useless like that. So I deferred.

I got a box with a couple of items (hat and something else) from the dealer.

I am in Canada - I didn't get an email, someone just showed up at my door with a gift basket that my waistline really didn't need.
:D

Curious if this is only being offered to US Genesis owners or any Canadians here that provide input?

I should mention I'm based in the US. Not sure if this extends to Canada (I would hope so, though).

One weird thing though is when I click "claim my gift", and I sign into my MyGenesis account, it doesn't bounce me back to the previous gift page and I just see my vehicle/account info like you normally do when you sign in. On the splash page for the welcome gift there's a "Genesis Gift Concierge" contact info listed. I called them and they said someone would call me to go through the step-by-step. Kind of funny they have a dedicated gift concierge email & phone number for this...

All this for what I'm sure will just be a magazine subscription or a mug, but I'm willing to go down the rabbit hole lol.

Me too...huge gift basket with candies, chocolates, etc.

I got a nice black envelope in the mail with a link to select a free digital magazine. They really shouldn’t bother; even a cheap key ring would be better.

I think for my '18 G80 purchase, about 6 months later I got a "hey Siri" box. Don't know where it is now. May have tossed it. My wifi thought it was listening to everything we said around it. I think at the time, these units were going for about 50 bucks.

I'm in Canada (GTA) and got nothing. Nada from dealer or Genesis. Pet peeve of mine really as I've complained in other threads. Spend 60K+ and nothing, not even a key chain or mug. Almost didn't even get a tank of gas. Had to ask my GEM when I noticed the tank was almost empty when I picked up the vehicle. It was only then he drove me to the gas station and filled up. Not impressed at all with the buying and delivery experience. Very far from "luxury".

Big difference between $3 gas and $6 gas if it's coming out of the dealers profit...

I got that gift offer as well. One of the choices for my gift was a 1-year subscription to Motortrend+ so I went with that. Figured it was better than nothing.
