Anyone else have this happen?

Last night when we got to Green Tops I pushed the button to shut off the engine. We unbuckled the seat belts, opened the doors and had started to get out when the dash/instrument panel lights came on and the AC/fan came on. I looked at the tach and it was clear the engine wasn't running (my first thought was that I'd missed hitting the engine shut off button) but everything was powered up.

I pressed the engine start/stop button and the engine started up. I pressed it again and everything shut down. We sat there a minute or so to make sure it wouldn't power up again (and it didn't). We shut it off 3 more times last night and all those were normal shut downs.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

hm, weird. I've never had that happen to me personally, but a buddy of mine had issues with his start button doing wonky things. he called the dealer and they suggested to hold the button down for 10-15 seconds each time.

Something similar has happened to me a few times. In each occasion it was me forgetting to put the car in park before turning it off. My car has an automatic transmission. I have no experience with the stick shift models.
