  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My car is a 2010 Tau Tech. I now have about 8k on it.

A number of times I've noticed a "shuddering" sensation, a feeling like the exhaust system is vibrating against the underbody, but I've never been able to duplicate it until just lately.

It's most noticeable before the engine is completely warmed up. If i drive at a steady 30 MPH and then let off the gas, as the speed drops to 28 to 30 mph, the shudder will occur. I can make it happen every single time I decelerate through that speed with a cool engine. It is even more pronounced in a lower gear - second for instance.

I took it to the dealer, the service writer was able to duplicate the symptom, but they couldn't find the cause. They tried another V8 and said that one did it, too, indicating that it was typical. I'm finding that hard to believe, since I've never heard anyone here mention it.

Has anyone here experienced such a symptom? I'm about to take the car in for a bad steering wheel position switch and I'd like to have them look at this problem again, especially if none of you can induce the problem on your V8s. TIA.
