If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "2009 Genesis" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 2009 Genesis Sedan" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Anyone ever tackle the alternator on a 2013?

The manual was completely useless. I've got it disconnected from the bracket but evidently the bracket needs to come off too. I cant get anything on the bolts because the alternator will only swing about a 1/2 ". I can get a socket on the bolts but theres no chance of squeezing a ratchet in there. My flex wrenches are useless also cause the bolts are recessed. Anyone have any suggestions?

I didn't remove the bracket, just the alternator. I pulled the alternator out from the front, towards the radiator. It wasn't easy but it worked.
