I've had mine for 3 years and problems with this the whole time and now in dry weather it's not the going down on their own it's that they won't roll down except every once in a while but then I can't get them to go up so I keep messing with buttons till for no reason they go up again.Hey guys! Has there been any concrete solutions found to resolve this problem?
My wife has the Genesis today (2012 Sedan)...and its freezing raining/sleeting. On the way to work this morning, about 5 miles from home, the rear driver side window went down on its own and it WON'T GO BACK UP! So here she is at work all day with the car out in a parking lot with freezing rain relentlessly coming down inside the car...aside from that, if she can't get it to go up by the time 5 o'clock rolls around, she then has a 45 minute commute to get home...in 28 degree, icy conditions! I stopped by her work and fiddled with it for 10-15 minutes with no luck...then I had to get to work.
We've brought the car to a dealership about this 3 times in the past and of course, they couldn't replicate the issue and told us that "nothing was wrong" so we contacted Hyundai corporate, whom then sent us back to a dealership and they claimed to have "replaced a switch" (or something to that effect) and the issue still wasn't resolved. She loves the car (as do I), but its completely unacceptable that we can't drive it any time it rains!
Please tell me that someone found the perfect solution!
I read 3 years ago on this site that the problem is the seal in the driver's window is in backwards but I can't get anyone to look for me and I'm done with the dealership ripping me off as they have since day one on issues I've had since buying this car..
I would love to get out of this car but they screwed me over lying about the maintenance warranty that put me 2,000.00 in debt and makes me so upside down no one will let me trade it without losing over 6,000.00
If I were a man or could buy the book for repairing this car I'd of already tried to see if it's the seal as was posted.. My gut says it's the problem.
