If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

These are available from E&G Classics. Was wondering if anyone has installed this one or found one from another Company.

Yes, I have the same exact grill on my car but did not add the lower air dam grill because I thought it was to much off a good thing. My wife calls my car the "hentley". I also have all the genesis badges everywhere including the steering wheel. No "H" anywhere to be seen except on the glass if you look closely enough. I also have the chrome side sills. My car looks pretty pimped out. At first I thought it was to much, but I have grown to like it. I have gotten more compliments on this car from all ages and demographics than any other car I have owned. I would like to post some pics one day, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.:D

What did the grill cost you? Did you install it yourself?

Actually it was a dealer installed option when I bought the car. i.e. it was already pimped out when I bought it. It was part of a $2500 dealer upgrade package which included the grill the badges window tint etc. So really no way to know what it would really cost. I would estimate somewhere between $600-750 installed.

If you can hold off a couple of months, our grill design should be available soon. It's been shipped overseas to start the manufacturing process. It'll be available in fiberglass and must be painted by your local paint shop to body match.

i likey that grille.

off topic but do you know if the headlights have vinyl overlay or has the housing been painted? i always paint my headlight housings black so just wondering if it's possible on the genesis...

Just my opinion, but I have seen all of the E&G grills, plus several others, and I don't think any of them look as good as the stock grill. I've been thinking about painting the matte portion of the grill black to match the body paint as others have done, but the aftermarkets I've seen are just too much chrome. After an ill-considered hasty decision I put some chrome 'B' pillar covers on and hated them - looked like some old guy's Buick or Continental (And I'm an old guy myself...:D). I replaced them with black covers (see my album for pics)

How are the black covers for showing finger prints? I too put on the chrome and while I still like the look, they show finger prints too easy.

The headlights are photoshopped, but the attempt was to show the housings painted black. I hope to disassemble them soon.

Back to the grill: I'll post pictures once the final product has been made. It'll be a couple of months.

The black covers are not too bad for finger prints, and they're easier to wipe clean than the chrome. I don't have much trouble with prints b/c the black car shows every speck of everything so I'm careful not to put my fingers on the pillars when I'm closing the door. I hardly ever have passengers so the back and passenger doors don't get much use. So are you saying you're an old guy too?? :D

Well, there are a lot of folks that like the look of the Bentley front end and Grill. This is just one further step than re-badging.

Call me nuts (or whatever you want), but I don't think the Bentley is very attractive. Expensive, yes; attractive, not particularly..:p

You're nuts. But so am I. :D

Actually that's my beef with the standard Genesis Grill. I think there is more chrome on the standard, than on the E&G Grill. There are four rows of heavy chrome bars on the standard grill, A chrome outline and a Middle chrome bar as well. While the E&G just has a Chrome outline and small honey comb chrome on the inside. My bet is there are more square inches of chrome showing on the Std than the aftermarket.
