  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Quick question-has anyone removed the "Equus" lettering off the LH side of the trunk?

I think the letters are just glued on and would be easy to remove.

Thx

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Sounds like badging the Genesis with wings. warm it up and get some dental floss........slowly saw it off, clean up any glue left on car.

And, if you decide to put it on later, what adhesive should be used to reinstall? Or, I suppose you could order a fresh set off of ebay....about $20.

Park in the sun, use some fishing line, and it will come right off. If you want to reinstall, just orders new ones. The new ones will come in a foam stencil for proper spacing and alignment so you can't mess up.

A little heat from a hair dryer will help as well. GooGone pretty good, also rubbing alcohol for removing residual adhesive.

Thanks!

Still contemplating their removal...

What are you doing with the flying H on the trunk?

The flying / lazy H on the trunk had been replaced before I bought it.

I decided to leave the EQUUS lettering intact and add the VS500 to the RH side.

Getting a lot of looks and questions as to what the heck this car is....."how do you pronounce it??" LOL

I enhanced my '65 XKE with it.

Good move, Sandy. I recall you are an expert in up-selling. ;)

Do you want fries and a drink with your burger?

I'd say he wants some "Louisiana" on his
Upsell!
