  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I like the look of the tailpipes but wanted to do a modification to the axle-back exhaust system (again... Still playing with sounds). This time though, I wanted to use carbon fiber tips but the plastic surrounding the fake tailpipes make me a bit iffy.... Not sure how they are on there or if I will remove paint if I try to take them off just to see.

Curious if anyone played with this yet or aware of any pictures (I can't seem to find any) where someone replaced the back area on the g80 sport.

mine were damaged when I was rear ended, they just clip on from behind; the honeycomb and pipes are all one piece, if you remove it you will have a big hole even after pushing real pipes through, so you might need to fab up something to fill in that area. maybe some aluminum honeycomb that attaches to the original clip areas.

Thanks for the quick reply and suggestion! I will measure out. The pipes I am looking at would leave minimal gaps. When I have it up, i will look at the clips and see how I can replicate
