App question, new owner

So, I bought a 2016 hyundai Genesis today.

Am I able to use the genesis app or do I use the bluelink my hyndai app?

Can I turn on the ac remotely. I live in southern az and that feature would be a godsend

I just uploaded my paperwork to myhundai I guess I gotta wait for them to update the owner as me

Either app will work, assuming you have the connected services.

If the climate control is off, I don't know that it can be turned on. If the climate control is on, it will heat or cool to the desired temperature. Mine is set for 72 degrees and is never touched.

If the windows have no tint, in AZ I would get some. I have only 50% but it helps in the sun and is not too dark at night.

Hello there fellow Zonie,
I too have a 2016 Genesis Ultimate I just simply keep the AC set to auto,temp at whatever your comfortable with.
Tinted windows here a must of course,and keep in mind Bluelink connected services are basically going to cost $297 per year ,least wise that’s what mine have cost.... that not really bad for what you receive over the year....

You can’t do it online? When I got my G80, I had to send them a couple of documents to prove the car is now mine but I didn’t need to call.

The Genesis/MyHyundai app will allow you to remote start and set HVAC temp. If you don't specify a HVAC temp, the system will not be turned on. The HVAC system will be turned on if necessary to meet whatever temperature you set during remote start.

Keep in mind the remote start system will only run in 10 minute intervals, with a maximum of 25 cumulative minutes between actual occupancy.

If you are a second owner and the first owner was ever registered with MyHyundai, you'll need to fill out some forms to clear their name from the Bluelink registration and to get yourself listed as the owner. This process can take as little as 3 days, but it sometimes takes in excess of a few weeks depending on how competent your support agent is. I don't recommend letting the dealer do it, they'll attempt to forcibly override ownership in Bluelink and it ends badly and with a lot of wasted time.

I got a hold of them today, uploaded my documents and they said it would take 3-5 days. Then around 2 hours later I got an email saying it's been updated.

This remote start for the AC is a lifesaver here in South AZ
