  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I always plug into the USB port and use Apple CarPlay and/or Waze instead of the onboard navigation system

Seems like every 10-15 minutes for no reason the car disconnects from Apple CarPlay & I have to unplug wait 10 seconds and plug the phone back in.

How do I stop this from happening??

Try pinching your wired USB end just enough to create a tighter fit to the car's USB.

Try a few different cables. I know android auto is very fussy about the cable you use, Apple might be the same.

I gave up as nothing seems to fix the problem, tried 3 different cables and it still did it

Went and ordered a expensive Anker high speed USB 3.0 cable, will see if that fixes the issue

I’ve been having the same problem.

Did your Anker cable solve the issue?

Thank you!!

Agreed... tried numerous cables of high quality/high speed. Nothing worked for me. So frustrating.

Execute an infotainment [full reset] if you've already tried deleting said phone from system and [restarting] the infotainment system, and rebinding said phone. If you have not, do this 1st. Be aware for the [full reset], that you'll have to setup the entire system again but typically it solves just about any issue.

Thanks for the suggestion...tried this with no luck.

I had the same issue. Took it to the dealer this week and there is a software update for Apple car play. After the download Apple car play loaded immediately and have no issue now. Hope this helps.
