  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Throughout this forum there is a lot of talk regarding Apple CarPlay and Android play For the 2015/2016 Genesis Sedan and a lot of people getting false info saying it'll never be released for the Genesis, but as of yesterday, we finally have it!!

We finally get to enjoy our Genesis a tad more :)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
In myhyundai.com, I have the alert:

May. 25 2016 Your new Vehicle Software Update is now available (ST.LF.USA.E478.150901: Sep 1 2015 12:00AM)

However, there is no button to download the update. I wonder if it's because I have the 9.2" nav.

Do I need to subscribe to any paying service (ie: blue link) in order to download and use android play? I have a 2015 genesis tech package.

Thanks

I can't believe that ^ won't change after the original update/rollout

yay - another thread saying the exact same things as the other 4. W00t!

Yay - another member complaining about too many threads on the same topic. Let's just assume that some of these guys don't live in this forum like yourself and just answer his question.

Someone please report back here when they go thru this. I'm anxious to find out all the details.

You will only see downloads tab (between Blue Link and My Account) if you are running a Mac or Windows. My Linux machine shows nothing. It's possible that the tab will not display based on your car's VIN.

I guess it's NO for you.

It's exactly as advertised from my experience. It took about 2 1/2 hours from my PC to my SD card, then another 35-40 minutes in my Genesis. I have already used Android Auto extensively so I'm intimately familiar with the ins and outs. I've helped two others at my dealership (one base 5.0 and one tech sonata) and they both went off without a hitch as well.
