Lately apple car play has been weird. Sometimes randomly it will disconnect and i have to unplug my phone and reconnect. By the way i am using brand new oem cable. Also when i am on phone call the other person always complains that their voice echos.
 
Do a search. This topic has been discussed before in other threads.
