  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Are there any detailed reports of diagnostics or general info like overall MPG etc? MVR is very basic

Hello, I just purchased my 2022 G70 3.3 last month and I love it so far, it's just that I feel like some things I would expect to find in such a luxury vehicle are not there (or maybe I can't find them).

Is there an option to view your overall MPG? I luckily didn't delete one of the trips since I purchased the car last month so I guess I can see my overall MPG, But let's say I reset that, am I then not able to check my total average MPG?

I have been waiting eagerly for the monthly report and I was expecting some detailed information about my car, but I was very disappointed that it showed some very basic information that I could already check for without waiting a whole month. Am I missing something here?

I like checking things like the oil life percentage, even my 2009 Honda Civic had that, of course that doesn't replace checking the oil manually but it gave me an idea how much oil my vehicle is using. But I don't see that in my G70, so I just rely on checking the oil manually or wait until I get an oil change indicator? Of course i will be changing the oil according to the manual interval but I was hoping for some more info from the cluster.

One more thing I found unpractical was that the up/down buttons on the steering would navigate between my favorite radio stations instead of going to the next channel, and I don't seem to find a way to pause the song from the steering wheel, is that correct?

Another thing, I set up my car to lock when I touch the sensor on the door handle after I end my drive, I find this not working half the time and I have no idea why, the key is usually in my pocket, and the doors are shut, but sometimes it just wouldn't do anything and I have to lock manually using my key. Is this common?

Regarding coasting, I understand the requirements for it to activate according to the manual and it works fine for me, I just notice that it doesn't work during the first 15/20 mins of driving, is this intentional? I'm thinking maybe it is waiting for the car to warm up? But I also had some long drives and then I would end the drive for a couple and mins then drive again, so my car is already warmed up at that point, but coasting still doesn't work until about 15 mins or so later, do you guys have any information on this?

Anyway, sorry for the many questions, thanks !

Failure to lock may be if your hand is inside the handle when attempting to actuate the lock. Just touch the sensor on the outside. Fingers inside the handle will unlock the car instead.

Thank you, I have noticed that and it makes sense, however I do still have the issue without my fingers being on the inside, I'm guessing this isn't supposed to happen right?

Right. I’ve definitely noticed a lack of precision in the way the sensor works. :)

On my 2022 g70, it took me about 3 weeks before I figured out how to consistently make the lock sensor work! After some frustration, I learned that gently sweeping a finger across the sensor will consistently lock the car. Since then, I have had no issues. I don't know why it works, and I don't know if it will work for you, but try that.
The other thing to note about the lock and unlock sensors is, if you use your key to lock, it will only work with the key to unlock sometimes. The last thing you used will override the system. I believe this is important for people with key cards or remote starting to ensure their use when needed.
Hope it helps! Good luck.

Thank you, I just saw your reply but after spending some time practicing I have noticed the same thing ! This makes me curious how it was really programmed to function as I'm a software developer myself. It just seemed very different from all other sensors I have used.

I have also noticed that in some cases it would stop functioning if it's raining, which is a bummer, but doesn't happen that often.

Living in Southern California, it doesn't rain often so I will keep that in mind! Glad you got it working. Congrats on your new car 😉

Just the 'Accumulated Info' data. Delete that and you are SOL. I'm more unhappy with the fact the 'Driving Info' data resets on every single start cycle vs. accumulating that info within a four window regardless of # of starts. I logged with complaint with CS but have not heard back despite being told I would 2 weeks ago.

Same here but my assumption is the first 'report card' won't come out until 30 days past purchase date. Is the (first ) report that scant?

I see the same behavior. I'd also like to see this work in Custom mode when transmission is set to 'ECO' but it in fact only works in full ECO mode. Annoying.
Anyway, sorry for the many questions, thanks !

The report is rather bland. Tells you pretty much what you already know from just driving the car. Would be good to get everything you'd get with a reader.

There is no option on how the button works. I listen to SiriusXM so I want to go to my next favorite station when I touch the control. There are a couple hundred channels that I'd rather not have to push the button 64 times to go from 5 to 69. I've not even set all the presets available. Evidently you do more channel surfing than I do.

Pause and rewind is on the touch screen.
