  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

On page 151 of the DIS manual it described the AVM (around view monitor) functions and usage. I do not have the ICON to use this on my 2015 5.0 Ultimate. Is this option not included in this model?

Thanks
KMP

I'm guessing that it's a feature that they will add to the North American models in the next few years. The video of the Saudi model posted a couple days back clearly showed the around view cameras under the side mirrors. So some markets seem to have already received it. I'll bet they chose to hold back some features on the US models so that they can add these "upgrades" in future years.

Yup, the Around view monitor is included in the full 3.8 as well as 5.0 models in Saudi.

What happens if we order the side mirros with the cameras, do you think it would work? Maybe the US version is not equipped with the necessary wiring so I don't think it will work.

Any suggestions?

The KDM version has it available as an option, as well as Saudi. It will probably show up on the next generation Equus that makes it to the USA, but not sure about Genesis. The USA Genesis has never had all KDM options, going back to 2009 model.

Personally, the lack of AVM would be a dealbreaker. The Genesis is quite large, and for what we're paying, the AVM should be standard. Luckily, I live in the UAE, so we get the AVM. However, we sacrifice BlueLink and thus remote start (which is essential in this desert heat!!!)

A minor qualm I have though is that the AVM is low speed only, meaning once you're past 15 km/h, the AVM shuts off.

It's already on the Equus...

About the only thing I miss about my 2011 Infiniti FX50 is the AVM... And maybe the power [emoji56] But I do love my new Genesis Ultimate!
