  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,

Two questions:

1. How many quarts for only an ATF drain a fill of Hyundai Genesis 2015 v6 3.8 2WD? Without changing the pan.

2. Can only take out 3 quarts? How to control the amount drained?

Thank you,
Husam

I only drained about 3 1/4 quarts of transmission fluid out of my 5.0 transmission pan. I could only put about 3 1/2 quarts in the fill hole before it started to drain out the fill hole; so the pan seems to hold only about 3 1/2 quarts of fluid on a drain and fill.

I guess a pan/filter change will need about 4 to 4 1/2 quarts to account for fluid in the filter.

Hope this helps.

Pulled one out of the owner's manual and the other out of the service manual.
