  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have just got to tell you about my experience yesterday. I was going home from town ( I live just out of town on an acreage) when a Brand new Audi A4 with the fancy LED headlights was jamming his nose near my tail pipes in anticipation to pass me. I could see him hit the throttle so I decided to drop the 'velvet hammer'. I could see in my rear view mirror how surprised he was, especially when my Genesis 4.6 was pulling him real hard. We started this fun at about 60km/h and then I had to pull the plug at 120 km/h as there was a guy on a pedal bike turning around on the highway! After we both passed that fella we both dropped the hammer again and sure enough I was pulling away hard. I could almost feel his dejection with his new ride, knowing that he was eating a Hyundai's dust, especially since those cars are so much more money. At my turn off, I could see it was the 3.2 liter car. I know that mine has much more horsepower, but it still felt good! :p I know it's not good to condone this, but I had to share. Anyone else with similar stories?

The v6 would've kicked ass by a small margin as well!

The A4 was on my short list of cars. I was considering the A4 2.0T (not the six). The 2.0T actually has more torque and a flatter power curve than the 3.2. When I drove both the 2.0T and and 3.2, the 2.0T felt faster and and handled better than the 3.2. In reality I think the 3.2 is a tick or two faster than the 2.0T on paper. While I have no doubt that both the Genesis V6 and V8 would be faster in a measured competition, I have to tell you that from the driver's seat the A4 feels fantastic!!! It feels much faster than it is and has great steering and handling and a very good suspension to boot. Ultimately for me, the rear seat was just too cramped. The trunk on the A4 is 17 cu. ft. and is simply huge (rear seat folds down too). The Genesis is a great car in both V6 and V8 versions...and pretty damned fast too. It is always nice though when you leave one of the "big brands" in the dust. I am sure that A4 driver was also impressed with the Genesis' LED tail lights too ;).
