  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Audio seems to be missing beats on certain songs. Can anyone help identify what's wrong?

Hey folks, mine is a 2015 Tech Package Sedan. Is there a diagnostic test anyone recommends I run through?

Simply put-- for some songs, the audio simply misses notes, and I'm not sure if it's over a speaker being out, or what.

I *think* it's considered a percussion note, but my car still has bass and it still sounds pretty great otherwise. It's just super annoying when I'm listening to some Dua Lipa, am nearly in my zone, and then get cheated out of it. You know how I feel, bros?!?! :sneaky:

An example would be right here at this timestamp. It's the part after the brief pause-- the drop. It get's almost halved by my speakers and just doesn't sound right. No idea how else to describe it.

Another example is this song:

That intro. There's these alternating sounds. A clap and a small cymbal note. It's the cymbal note that doesn't get played at all and just passed over.

Cymbal sound missing would equate to a tweeter being blown. Put your ear to each speaker and listen if you hear it coming from any of the speakers.

If you don't hear it from any of them next would be a bad crossover. I'm not very familiar with the OEM system but that would be how I would diagnose it.

Trying to determine if amplifier failure causes my very poor FM and nonexistent AM performance. Sirius XM works great.
