  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My brakes have started to slip very slightly whenever I use my Auto Hold feature on my G70 RWD (less than 3K miles). This started last week and now happens whenever I engage the Auto Hold. I called Genesis and they'll be picking up my vehicle and dropping off a loaner on Friday. Not sure if it's related, but it seems like I need to press the brake pedal much harder than I did before as well when completely stopped.

Anyone else have/had this issue? There seems to be some threads from several years ago but could not find anything recently and specifically for the G70.

I have been here 18 months and cannot recall this specific issue. I must press firmly enough so the pressure sensor is activated and also hold for a half second or so to engage. On slopes I may sometimes hear a creak as it moves an inch or two forward but holds well enough. It is not meant for a driver to nap or read a book rather than stay alert during a stop.

Mine will slip on occasion but catches itself and applies the brakes harder...

My car has done it a handful of times and it has always happened the first time I applied the brakes after the auto hold was turned on (I wait to turn it on until I have backed out of my driveway and shifted to D). A good, firm pedal push on the first brake to a full stop seems to eliminate the "creeps"...
Enjoy,
