How much are you paying for insurance for Genesis in California?
Genesis is not listed in most of the quotes you can find on the web.
My current insurance co. gave me a quote that is like $200 more for 6 months than what I was paying for my BMW.

I just changed my policy today. My insurance is going up $115 per year over a 2006 Sonata with the same coverage.

While not a CA resident, my insurance went up $140/year in switching from an '02 BMW 530 to a new Genesis. $400/year seems high, although the rationale that insurance companies employ to set premiums seems like voodoo, at best (and ALWAYS in their best interests). For my part, I intend to tee up the subject of Genesis rates vs "comparable" cars when my policy comes up for renewal in December.
 
In FL, my policy went up $136/yr moving same coverage from a '97 528i to the Genesis.
