  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Could not find it in the manual but does anyone know if it is possible if the 2017 or 2018 G80 Ultimate Package has this feature: It locks automatically after you close the door. I have a 2006 Corvette that does it and it is very convenient. You do not have to hit the door or FOB button upon leaving the car.

Thanks, I will live with what I have. Just thought that if this feature was around in 2006 it surely should have been put in there in 2018 by the factory.

different manufacturer different R&D.

GM has had delayed locking going back to 2000, I had a 2000 Silverado with it. and it is on most if not all of their vehicles.

most manufacturers also tie the fob to the memory settings, not Hyundai.

it is what it is.

2019 G80 Sport 3.3t Can I set my car to lock after I leave? My 2009 Acura did that and I loved it!!

No. Look at post #2 for an accessory that may be what you want.

Thanks. I see that I can get a credit card size key for my vehicle. I will look into that.

I guess you mean like cassette players. 😬

My ‘98 Nissan Maxima opened all windows and the sunroof on 3 presses of the unlock button. It wasn’t the fun that it was cracked up to be, but I imagine Floridians loved it to get the heat out of the car before entering.

I miss that feature. I wonder why it’s so rarely provided?

Because all too often you unintentionally open all the windows and the sunroof in pouring rain. By the time you realize it the car is soaked. You have to be inside the car to close everything up again so your pants get wet too.

Understood. T’was worth the minimal risk to me. IIRC, the one I had required a LOOONG press on the remote that was pretty hard to do even when intentional.

every manufacturer does things differently and have different priorities for options vs. cost.
