  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is there a way to set the GV60 to lock if it's left unlocked w/ doors closed for 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes etc? I've yet to find a way...my old Mazda did it no issue. I came back from dinner the other night and the car was unlocked, user error but auto-locking should happen at some point!

Unfortunately it's not a feature that is offered as far as I'm aware. I know the feeling since it's difficult to remember to lock the car yourself especially after coming from a car that used to have the feature. Hopefully it's a feature that can be added in the future!

G70 lurker here.

I get it. I used to be able to lock my doors with the car running. Seems that's a no go now.

This is by far the thing I am most annoyed about. They can detect whether the key is in the vehicle, so why can’t they let us lock it if the key is outside while the vehicle is on 🥲

Could be a safety issue. People have left cars running in the garage, especially with push button ignition.
Running locked cars can also be broken into and driven away.

Running UNlocked cars are even easier to get into. :)

Which makes them easier to shutdown, should they be in a garage or somewhere else that it's bad to leave a car running.

The car basically screams at you when you get out with the key while it's running. That should be enough to tenons you to turn it off.

They're should be a setting we can access to let you lock the car using the fob.

It does warn you if you turn off the car but not have the car in park.

My prior cars had keypads on the doors. You could enter a code to unlock the car, so it did allow you to lock it from the keypad with the engine running. I do still miss having the keypads.

Had that on my SHO. Handy feature.

Mach-E has this I think. I think there’s a Toyota that lets you program a Morse style code using the trunk button too.
