  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I bought the 2015 Genesis, I expected it come with an AEB system. I don't have any messages on my HUD when I am driving. It appears AEB does not meet the specifications in chapter 5 of the owner manual. Does anyone can tell me if their AEB system works in normal driving mode?

The only notification you get is when you're about to hit something imminently. Other than that there is no indicator. I believe there is a configuration setting in the center dash in the cog tab. Please check that. You can try testing it by accelerating at a vehicle and switch lanes and pass them safely.. your car should lose its shit and beep frantically

The AEB system works flawlessly and works in all drive modes. No settings needed. It automatically is enabled when the car is started. You get a flashing red car on the HUD display letting you know it is about to be activated. You also will feel the seat belts tighten up.

You can disable it if you would like for snowy days to keep from getting false indicators. I am getting ready to head offshore fishing, went I get back I can post up some info from the manual if you would like. If you do a search here you can also find some information on it.

Yep, works well at least the warning part that is. I get warned rather often when driving aggressively and coming up fast on a slow or stopped car. I say "think it works" because it has yet to physically brake for me. One day I will just blindfold myself on the way to work and test it out. Seriously, glad to know it's there in the background looking after me and my passengers.

It has saved me twice in stop and go traffic. I'm a believer! I think every dealer should have a dummy car like that to demonstrate the feature.

I agree, a dummy car would really help with sales.
