  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I thought I would try and see what my iPhone sounds like with Pandora plugged into the Aux port so I plugged in a standard 2 channel patch cable. When I plugged it in the console said "No Video Signal". I could hear the iPhone but it was horrible - the relative volume was low and I could only hear the left channel. I checked the cable in another device and it worked normally.

Has anyone else seen this? Is this a known problem?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried checking the sound output on the iPhone with headphones? Reason why I'm asking is I ran into something similar and found out I had a huge piece of lint that somehow made it's way into the headphone jack on my iPhone.

The problem is that the connector is made for a 4-conductor cable that carries audio and video signals. See this thread for details.

Thanks so much. I actually thought that might be the case and I consulted the manual which didn't mention the plug requirements. You can send video over to the console?
