Auxiliary jack has lost a channel

I have the cable for my ipod, but I find it much easier to use my Ipod thru the auxiliary jack. However I have lost the right channel, now. I have replaced the cable, and the jack in my ipod, but I can only make the right channel play if I torque the male end of the cable and hold it at pressure to one side.

I went to the dealer with the problem, and they don't even want to address it. I was willing to pay to have it fixed, but they express no interest in doing it. Of course I understand that to replace the jack they may have to pull out the center console. I've looked online to see if there were any fixed for jacks short of replacing them, but I found none.

This is a Hail Mary post, because I am not optimistic, but in case anyone else has had the problem, and solved it, I wanted to hear.

I have a 2010 base Genesis. The auxiliary jack has a similar problem on my car. The connection is very low in volume unless pressure is applied against the cord at "just the right pressure" to make the sound good. The dealer has ordered a part to fix it. I do not yet know the name of the part. The problem is repairable and your dealer (another one if the closest dealer refuses) can fix it.

I hope the problem has been permanently been fixed. The dealer installed a new jack assembly for aux and usb. The part number is 96120-3000.

I'm calling my dealer now to learn the labor costs for the repair.

The repair may be covered under the 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty rather than the 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty. Of course, unlikely any coverage if over the 5 year or 60k.
