Does anyone know what the AWD power distribution is in the various drive modes?
I have a 5.0 Ultimate AWD and with the recent snow dumps, I've been playing with the various drive modes. I found sport mode actually worked best for me overall in the snow. Eco mode, the rear tends to slide out more. Normal mode is a little better in terms of traction but sport mode is surprisingly good. Does the AWD send more power to the front in sport mode? I've only used snow mode for when I really get stuck because the pedal is too unresponsive for driving.
Great car in the snow, I've been destroying unplowed hills with DWS 06 tires. I've found that unlike previous cars I've owned, don't feather the throttle to prevent slipping... give it steady throttle and let the traction control do all the work and don't stop. Knock on wood, I haven't been stuck to the point I need to get out and dig.
