Car ARRIVED early yesterday morning. Only took 3 days to arrive, and as far as I can tell it's in mint condition. The dealership took their time sending me the paperwork/title back so I have the car but no title yet, ridiculous that a trucker can deliver my car faster than the dealer putting paperwork in an overnight envelope. So I've been driving it insured but unregistered, whatever.
The car is AMAZING! I've been slumming it for a long time, and I'm blown away, this thing is ridiculously cool. I put a 120 miles on it Day 1, here are my initial observations:
--Great handling for a sedan, way better than the economy car I was in before, not as good as a "sports coupe" but it's not a coupe and it's every bit as good as I was expecting.
--Seats could be softer, overall the comfort is great, mostly because....
--YOU BARELY NEED TO USE THE PEDALS! Adaptive Cruise Control is AMAZING. I suspect my days of getting speeding tickets are over. Set the speed, take your feet off the pedals and forget about it. Works great for my socal freeway commute.
--Infotainment is great, wish it had a video IN function...I guess eventually something like that could come via
aftermarket.
--Lane Keep, I'm 50/50 on this. It's super impressive when it's working, but as I knew when I bought the car...it's not ready to take over for anything more than approx 30 seconds. I've left the feature on all the time and found that it saved me a few times when i wasn't paying attention and it also annoyed me a few times when I tried to change lanes without signaling. It did not prevent me from changing lanes, but it did put up some resistance. i think if i remember to signal it won't fight me...which would probably be better.
I've got my trunk genesis
wings (actually bought them hear in advance) and now I just need to find a local shop that can do the work well.
Anyone know where to find PDFs of the owners manual, DIS manual, and quick references? I have a massive stack of manual's that I'd rather just recycle.
I appreciate everyone's feedback and suggestions
