In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. Back up camera not working

I have a 2010 Genesis Sedan 3.8L ( my friend has a 2009) --- both vehicles have intermittent backup camera! sometimes it works and other times just the grid is displayed. My friends started a year ahead of me (note cars are model year apart) and now my friends is dead other then the grid; mine is still intermittent. Whats the probability two cars ( and maybe others) with similar problem manifesting themself??!! ;-(
 
Could be loose wires/connections or for the intermittent issue it could be a wire which got pinched and is making intermittent contact. It very well may be a nightmare to chase it down.
