I have a 2012 Sedan, 5.0 Premium tech. - 4000 miles.
For the first time this morning, the backup,camera screen displayed the warning message about checking your surrounding before you exit the vehicle.
I was not close to anything that would trigger any sensor and all of the parking assist sensors seem to work properly. The parking assist was off.
I have seen this before when backing into a parking stall,but it always went off when I pulled forward. I t was very cold morning - -5 deg. F.
It appears there is another sensor on the trunk hood to the left of the camera eye which may have something to do with this.
Any advice much appreciated.
