  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hyundai dealer has no answer at this time. Anybody else have a screen shot of a defective screen? Dealer has shop foreman and others involved...waiting for Hyundai to respond. I'll post the result, if any. Service manager says it may be the head unit ($2500!). Also experiencing no audio once in a while at startup.

I posted the response from the dealer.

Here it is again.

The dealer stated it most likely is the back up camera. Looks like the connection wires might be crimped. The dealer ordered a new backup camera to be installed sometime next week. Thanks to someone's posting, the dealer updated the new software. Even though I have a 2012 Genny, the car was built in May 2011 and the software update was for 2009-2011 units. My unit fit into the 2011 time frame.

Had my head unit replaced 2X. Only real annoying issue I've had with this car. The second time XM has been on for free, still, shhhh. Other than that it's been sound as a pound.

I've had the same problem intermittently. I think that it's loose wiring. Some people have fixed the problem by pulling the trunk lid liner and playing around with the wires. Before you do that, try opening and closing the trunk a few times, which may temporarily reseat the connection.

The signal from camera is not getting to unit. The computer screen overlay appears to be working in the photo. I would start by having dealer replace the backup camera.
