  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Our backup camera has had issues when it rains since we first purchased the vehicle, but it worked fine when dry. Took it in under warranty and the issue was never resolved. Now it isn't working at all-black screen with measurement lines on the monitor is all we see. We got a new camera and installed it-same issue. We do not seem to be getting power to the camera. Any help troubleshooting from here will be appreciated!

When my wife had a 2012 Optima, the same issue happened with the rear camera. I replaced the camera in about 30 minutes and it was good as new. You should consider replacing the camera.

We did replace the camera with a new one and still have the same issue-no picture displaying on the front monitor. In troubleshooting, we do not seem to get a reading from the black and red wires inside the wiring harness connector. Need guidance on how to proceed from this point. We have checked all possible fuses and all of them are good and making good contact.
