  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have an 2014 Ultimate with 97K miles on it. I have had repeated dash lights for ASVM (?) come and go.

Also I have had intermittent cruise control and distance radar stop working. Seems to go out in heavy traffic and then once traffic eases a bit it returns to normal state where I can use it again. But if anyone pulls in front of me it triggers the ASVM warning light in dash and stops working.

Now to add injury to insult the backup camera has suddenly stopped working. When depressing camera button for surround options it does nothing. Doesn't even come up on head unit.

Anyone else have this experience of different electronics intermittently going haywire or stop working and then come back to life? With my 2010 Genesis the backup camera HATED the severe heat and humidity. Thought that might be the problem (Florida residence once again).

The parking sensors work fine as well as the blind spot and rear radar detection for cross traffic. So it is very confusing to diagnose what may be the problem.

Just picked up a 2014 Ultimate with the same issue. Called local dealership with the code B161A00 and said I would likely have to replace the AVM module. Of course they quoted it insanely expensive. I imagine even if I replaced it myself I would still need the dealer to calibrate it. Have you made any progress on yours?

Unfortunately no I haven't. I replaced every fuse known to Hyundai so I suspect that I have a bad module as well. I did check with Hyundai to see if extended warranty covers that. Of course it does not. So I am in limbo. Without that feature working it's like driving my wife Camry. Forgive me IF I might sound coy but My Equus ain't no damn Camry! lol

What price did the dealer quote you?

He quoted over 2k for the part but I have found a couple on ebay confirmed working from salvage. I may go that route. I found some YouTube videos on getting behind the dash as from what I can tell the module is somewhat behind the start/stop button ignition. I think it's replacement will be possible for me to do but most likely the calibration will need to be done by dealer but I am not sure. If I do it I'll let you know

I'm also waiting for the AVM MODULE 95770-3N400 VIDEO PROCESSOR for new to me Equu., The dealership offered to fixit it before I took possession of the car or discount the cost off the car price. It's expensive and very difficult to get new, mine is two months back ordered. I was thinking about going the ebay way, but decided to go through the dealer - mainly because I want them to install it. I have taken off the glove box just to see if I can get to the module, but no go. There seems to be no way to remove the glove box housing without taking off the dashboard. If anyone figures it out please share how you did it.

I will let you all know if my extended warranty covers this. Have an appointment 12/7 for an estimate to repair AVSM warning light/module.

Update: Life happens... Rescheduled for 12/15... that will be 2 weeks b4 extended warranty expires. Fingers crossed.

Welp. I arrive at my appointment at my local dealership in Panama City and I get not a greeting but a service manager who questioned the method I used to make an appointment (used MyHyundai website) and what a pain it is to check with warranty companies if something is covered or not. Honestly, I was not in the mood for criticism or negativity and left without getting either my estimate nor the oil change that was also required.

Sorry about that as I was very curious to find out what the problem is. I will go to Fort Walton Beach next month to another Hyundai dealership and see if I get better customer service. I did send a note of dissatisfaction to Hyundai corporate but of course they have little power over independent dealerships but noted my experience. Shrug.

Best to make appointments by phone. There have been many misses using the web or app.

I was in their system for my appointment and he pulled me up right away so I did not understand why he was so aggravated.

I guess I think differently about customer service. There is a difference between condescending comments about policy and educating their customer base. I would have preferred a "Good morning" greeting FIRST before be lectured about his preference in scheduling an apointment.
