Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. Bad alternator

My alternator went bad, so I changed it. Battery light still comes on so I changed replaced the alternator, thinking I received a bad alternator. Battery light still came on so we noticed that the belt tensioner needed changing as well. Changed the the belt tensioner and the battery light still coming on periodically and causing the car to overheat a little. I don’t know what the issue can be. Did I get a bad alternator this time, really don’t know what else to do.
