  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have had problems with my 2025 GV80 battery discharging fairly rapidly when not run for long drives. I bought a maintainer but where do I attach the positive clamp? The picture in the manual is blurry.

There is a little hatch with a "+" on it that snaps off, directly aft of the fusebox where you hook up the negative clip. You will find a bolt under the hatch that sticks up, to attach the positive clip to. Once you know where it is, you can reach around the hatch too, if you don't feel like snapping it on and off all the time.

Here's where it goes in my G70

Thanks! In my 2025 GV80, there appear to be two positive points for connection: one is a small bolt with a red dot on it and the othere a silver square jutting up from the fusebox. Are these both valid connections for the positive terminal?

Probably but I would use the silver square. In my manual, Genesis puts the "reference number" just to the right of the connection point ( see A and B as per below).
