  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently bought a 2016 genesis v3.8 and found it very strange and possibly inconvenient that the battery is in the trunk.
Could this be an issue if you're giving a jump start?

There shouldn't be an issue. There are + and - connections under the hood in the engine bay.

Dont give jump starts ! Too many electronics!!!!@🙂

agreed on both counts.

most newer vehicles have have the battery in the trunk and jumper posts under the hood..

you have a key override for the drivers door and trunk so you can enter the car manually if you have a dead battery.

personally I will never jump another car, too many electronics and to great a risk something can short.

I carry a halo portable charger/booster for that type of assistance:

i have found it to be very reliable, having used it several times for fellow employees, and noted it had been in my trunk for 10 months and still held a full charge.
