  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone know if there are remote jumpstart posts under the hood? I know the battery is in the trunk. I would look in the owners manual but my car is a dealer over 3 hours from my home and to be honest they dont know whay they are doing. thx

IIRC there are posts under the hood

The remote posts under the hood are located on the passenger side. You have to look closely because they are enclosed in a plastic case with a snap open cover. I used them to give a jump start to another car a couple days ago.

thx guys dealer in Waco charged me 40 bucks to have popalock open the trunk to jump the battery because i only gave them the valet key anyone maybe have a pic showing posts and cover would love to show dealer maybe get my money back thx again

Tell them to look on:
pg 2-4 of the owner's manual (3.8L)
pg 2-5 of the owner's manual (4.6L)

Here are the pages from the manual:

When all else fails, "Read The Owners Manual".

as I said the car is over 350 miles away the owners manual is in the car Thx

You'd need really long jumper cables then- whether the posts are in the trunk or under the hood is mute!

Thanks teach- my bad

All vehicles with a battery in the trunk (that I've run into) have always had posts under the hood.

Old thread I know..... But , if you want to charge the battery, is the proper place to hook up charger under the hood on the remote posts, rather than the battery itself?

Either is fine.
