  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello, I have a 2011 sedan 4.6l that completely drained the battery while on the roadth e engine went into limp mode before I could get into a parking space. After replacing the battery it started started up fine and ran good all the way home. The problem seems to be the alternator not charging. Strange thing is, the seat warmer no longer works. Could there be a fuse blown that would take out the alternator and seat heater?

It may be that the seat heater is disabled when battery voltage is too low. You may only have a charging system problem. That problem is likely the alternator, but there are tests that can be done to make sure it is the alternator and not a wiring issue.
