  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm curious as to whether there are any regularly used 18" BBS LM replicas used in this community for 4.6L or 5.0L sedans (don't have one yet, will be buying a 2012 shortly)? From looking around the stock wheels are 18x7.5 +39. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I own a functional Subaru so all I know are higher offset wheel options. I'd be looking for something in the 18x8.5 range with a proper fitting offset (none of that hella flush stupidity). I'm curious as to what might my wheel options might be. I don't mind replicas (something I'd never thought I'd hear myself say) simply because my other car is where all of my money for real parts is going.

I might as well also ask, but with a proper offset in the size I want, will 255/45s be able to fit with no fender modification?

I appreciate any direction I can get!

I don't recommend buying knock off parts, Not to mention I spend the most on buying this new ones, No knock off parts will be on there. sold 3 cars for this one and then correct mods

I think Enkei has a Classic style similar to this but not sure of available sizes. OZ has similar styles and offers a 3 piece line through Tire Rack, not inexpensive. Also you may have to go to someone like HRE($$$$) for exact fitment. These are 3 piece wheels and can be sized with the perfect style, rim width and offset to fill the wheel wells without any rubbing issues. I used to have a set of HRE wheels(same style as BBS LM) that were built for a Merkur XR4Ti, another difficult fitment. Not cheap but superb product. The rim portions were polished and not clear coated and required constant attention. I was living in SoCal at the time and it was not an issue, if I had lived almost anywhere else with severe weather they would become summer wheels. In any event, you are looking at $1000-$1800 per wheel for a wheel like this. Of course BBS is also an option also sold through Tire Rack. Enkei premium line, BBS, HRE and OZ are all superb, quality products. There are also some no name Chinese knockoffs but you might be taking your life in your hands with these.

A wider 18" wheel would look kinda weird IMO
I think for a nice looking wheel 20" is the perfect size for this car, not too small, and not too big
I agree to steer clear of the replicas, if you spend a bit of time online you can usually find some good deals on good quality used wheels.
I picked up a set of used DPE's that were about 5k+ brand new, for under 2k, put a bit of work into them and some brand new rubber and they look pretty much perfect. I've also seen HRE's etc for around the same price or a bit more.
Tire wise a 255 will easily fit, I think there are some people on here already running wider than that. (With the right offsets of course)

My Genesis will be my DD. The only thing I plan on doing to it is wheels. I'm just trying to avoid paying too much for them since all my money goes to my other car. There are some replicas that aren't that bad. While I'm not looking for something as costly as HRE, CCW, or Kinesis, I'm not planning on scrapping the bottom of the barrel with something like XXRs either.
