  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all!

I am in the market for suspension for my Genesis sedan, and I recently inquired with BC Racing regarding availability of coilovers for the DH platform. I would like to seek alternatives to the Storm/Ark route, since ideally I would like about 1"-1 1/2" more of a drop than they offer.

Here is our email conversation, verbatim:

"Hi Rey

Thank you for contacting BC Racing NA.

Unfortunately we do not have a BR series kit available for the 2013+ Genesis Sedan just yet.

This is an application we will be working on in the near future but we do not have an ETA on a date just yet.

I can keep you updated if you wish.

Regards,
Kevin

My response:

"Dang. There's another Genesis sedan owner that told me he was on BC. I wonder what's up with that? PLEASE keep me updated. I really don't want to buy springs. ;)"

And their response:

"Rey, correction, as far as we know the M-08 kit does fit the 2016 Genesis. It certainly fits the second gen 2014+ models and we have not been given any reason to believe the suspension is changed from 2014. If you have an R-Spec, we have a custom setup for that model with higher rates to accommodate the additional weight, so you should specify that when ordering. We intend to assign a new part number to the R-Spec Sedan kit but until then it is just a custom M-08.

Thanks,

Scott Clifford

So can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!

It sounds like they have their years a bit confused. The existing BC Racing kit fits 2009-2014 cars. This is the first generation BH Genesis. I don't know how similar the 2015 DH second generation suspension is but I would think it has some differences.

There's a 2nd gen owner I came across on Instagram that told me he was on BC (and he is DUMPED)... which makes this all the more confusing. Either way, after seeing how nice lbpuppy's car sits with Ark springs and 20s, I am leaning towards going to the spring route.
