  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Guys,
Call it a poll it you want....but what color does this body style look best in? I hate to say it as I hate the upkeep....but the Black seems to. I am thinking on getting Red, Blue, or the Platinum ......but damn the Black just rocks! Thoughts?

Black is the best, but is a pain to keep clean. However, it looks really sexy when cleaned!

White is the best since it doesn't show dirt:rolleyes:

My last two cars have been white including the '12 Genesis. I recently bought a '13 VW Passat tdi- dark red. I've had it for a week and already wishing I'd bought white again.

I had several colors to choose from and I was thinking white until the sales guy walked me over to the Twilight Blue Pearl Metallic. In the direct sunlight it just screamed "Buy Me". It sparkles in the sun plus it accentuates the chrome as well as the black does.

Titanium gray metallic. Hides dirt and gleams in the sun.

If you are in MS and go over to that car in the summer and put your skin on the sheet metal, you would be the one who was screaming.

Can't argue with that!

Color choice goes beyond exterior preference. First, be sure you like the interior color(s). Put the cart before the horse in the selection process.

I wanted black first, but ended up with White (one of the last 2012s on clearout and no more black available within 180 miles). I really like white, but this is my third white car in a row.

I got a 30% tint all around and I am really happy.. It looks awesome.

To each, his own. You see a lot of black and white cars out there, I think grey and silver are boring-------------so it was the red for me. Of course, I have always like deep red on cars. It looks really good (rich?) when clean and a little road grim doesn't show like it does on black.

Black and White both look great. White is very easy to maintain. I have both and think strictly from a cosmetic perspective black edges it out. If you include long term maintenance (swirl marks), then I would take white over black.

My tastes have changed over the years.

I used to think the more colorful and flashy the better. You know, the "peacock effect". Meaning: uses its brilliant plumage to entice females. :D

Then I started liking the "do not attract attention" theme. I want to lay low, go incognito, and not be noticed in a fast @ss luxury sedan:

And finally (to date):

Does anyone else see any similarities between the last two?! ;)

I guess a little off topic, but explains my choice of color on the Genesis........

I also have the black. Very picky about keeping all my cars clean including this one, but this one is wearing me out. I had a gold car and loved it and my next one will be gold.

I prefer the Titanium gray but wish it was a deeper darker gray. If you set teh gray and silver cars next to each other, it's hard to tell the difference on a quick first glance.

My favorite color choice would be a metallic gunmetal gray, but they don't have that color.

I will say the blue looks good as well but you can't get a blue R Spec. ;)

If the Genesis came in the red on the above Dodge Magnum, that would be my choice. White is running a close second.
All in all I'm very happy with my Platinum ;)
