  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys, can anybody help with the advise what to do about the cleaning of cashmere seats ?
I wear jeans most of the time and my seats are dirty from them ...blue is on the seats don't know what to use. They look like they are 5 years old ? I am very clean and so are my jeans so is it the fact the the light color of the seats picks up the blue from the jeans ....this did not happen in my benz ...so cashmere gets dirty but not like this ! & what i have tryed so far does very little to clean them ...... Any help or just go to a pro and spend the 125.00 to clean them ?thanks ikeym

I have used Tuff Stuff for years and have found nothing better for the money, and it works great on my cashmere seats. You should find it at an auto parts store or Walmart. Also I apply Lexol on my seats as soon as I get a car home from the dealer and after cleaning I re-apply the lexol for leather. Lexol comes in a brown bottle. Tuff Stuff comes in a red and yellow stray can. BTW my wife had a winter coat that rubbed off on the seats and the seats cleaned up fine.

You may try Lexol leather cleaner to try and see what happens. Also saddle soap and a soft brush. Always try to go from the least aggressive method and increase from there to obtain the desired results. Leather is pretty durable but will deteriorate if improperly treated.

I shoould have put this in my org post.

The Tuff Stuff is a gental foaming cleaner that does not require a lot of rubbing and the lexol is a conditioner and preservative that protects the leather and makes it easier to clean in the future. Lexol also makes a cleaner but I found that it is not as good as Tuff Stuff. I have had leather seats in cars/trucks for over 30 years and tried a lot of products.

try Pledge furniture polish.. looks good and smells good.
