  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hyundai has quickly developed a full range of products in its US lineup, and quality scores from companies like JD Power show those vehicles now rank among the best in the industry. For all of Hyundai's progress the past few years, the South Korean automaker has taken its time getting navigation systems into its fleet of cars and trucks.

For '08, the Azera, Santa Fe, and Veracruz all get nav systems, the Genesis sedan receives a separate high-end interface, and the bread-and-butter 2009 Sonata will get the tech as well. The folks over at Kicking Tires proclaim the interface to be bright, clear, and easy to use. It's about time. With Hyundai raising the price of entry for the Sonata to match (or exceed) the competition, it's important that the midsize sedan has everything the competition offers. It's just a shame that it took until now for them to do it.

The picture above is of the new Hyundai Sonata. Very nice interior. Very Lexus-like...

Navigation System was one thing that Hyundai really needed to offer a few years back. It was one thing that stopped Hyundai from being in the shopping list for many customers. Also the reason that most of Hyundai's points got taken off for most of the magazine's comparison test. I heard that the Korean market version of Hyundai's had the Navs for quite some time, but I have no idea why they haven't offered it for the North American market until now.

Motor Trend also said the same thing when they compared the Veracruze against the Lexus RX350. RX has the nav, but Hyundai didn't even offer one.

Now that they offer it, I guess their ratings will go up a bit more if any of the magazines comparo test them again, only if the Navs in the Hyundai's are any good quality that can be competed with others.

Kinda like the cooled driver seat in the Genesis.. Why only one seat? What about the front seat passenger? Who else only has one cooled seat? Late to the game with Navigation was bad but offering only one cooled seat seems very thrifty. Thrifty is not the direction Hyundai wants to go in...
