Bike Rack for G70 Shooting Brake

Hello Genesis Community,

let me first introduced a little bit about myself, my Name is Sebastian and I am from Germany/Europe.
I am very interested to buy Genesis G70. It is a special Version for Europe called G70 Shooting Brake.
Genesis is a small company in Europe and you rarely see them on the streets. This is why I´m so focused on the car and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Ok, personal opinion.

But unfortunately there is a problem. For Germany Roof Racks and Trailer Hitches are not allowed. Maybe in the future, but not know and no clear statement from Genesis. Had a lot of calls with them. It is strange, because in the User manuals it is mentioned, that there can be 100kg load on the roof. But not officially allowed. Which is not good, because if I have a accident with bikes on the roof, it can lead to the situation that insurance will not pay anything.
So I need to look for alternatives. There is only one, a trunk bike rack. New Problem, this car is so rare, that it seems that nobody tested it. So I have no clue of there is a matching modell.
I really want to buy this car, but a opportunity to carry bikes would be nice.
Hopefully you guys can provide some input. Feedback is highly appreciated.

Take a look at the Saris Bones line of bike racks. They are very universal and very well built. I think that would serve you well...

That's a tricky situation with the roof racks not being allowed. I've heard good things about the Thule trunk-mounted bike racks, but I'm not 100% sure if they'd fit the G70 Shooting Brake. Maybe worth checking out?

Hey,

I checked Thule German and US Website, they do not have a rack for the G70. Only for the Suv Gv models.
Unfortunately Saris nor Yakima answered on my Mails. Reply from Sea Sucker was just a general one. Maybe I need them chase a bit more. I´m also in contact with treefrog.
