If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Much appreciated !!

Is it actually blowing "hot" or just ambient air temperature? If ambient, and it's the driver's side that's warm, then the problem may be that you are low on refrigerant.

It’s blowing hot on the drivers side

My 2012 Genesis sedan (3.8L) blows ambient air for the first couple minutes after startup (Arizona ambient temp: 100-110F). After a while, it cools normally and keeps the cabin good and cold. I'm not concerned about the refrigerant system. If it were an older car, I would diagnose a vacuum reservoir for the blend door that was leaking down overnight. However, I'm pretty sure there is no such reservoir. So why won't the blend door move to the "full AC position" for 2-3 minutes after a "cold" startup?

More information may help. Did it always do this or just start recently? When you say "cold" startup, how long has it been off? Minutes? Hours? Once the system is off it does take some time to get the refrigerant flowing and blowing cool air.

If you set the system to blow out the bottom vents are they hot also?

It happens after the car has been parked for several hours. It has ALWAYS done this because I have owned the car for 60 days. I understand this is a common Hyundai problem 2012 Hyundai Genesis A/C Not Cold For Several Minutes

Every car I have owned - EVERY car - blows cold immediately upon startup. The compressor clutch is engaged, the cabin blower fan is operating normally, it just doesn't blow cold.

I have seen several report that the solution to slow cooling at startup is to replace the solenoid valve in the AC compressor, or the compressor itself (new compressor comes with new valve). This does require refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and recharge.

Not sure if you or anyone is around as I think this forum is dying but I am not getting any air in front to defog and when set to front the center 2 vents blow nothing, but the sides are blowing air and nothing on the windshield......not sure what I need to troubleshoot.

The air coming out is whistling so I am assuming a flap is blocked or one of these servos but no idea where it is or how to tackle this?

Did you guys ever resolve this? I have this exact issue happening, the whistling when i put the front defrost on, all the other vents work fine, temperature works fine as well, just the front barely has any air coming out

Where was this post at? I’m currently having issues with hot air blowing on drivers side but cold ac working on passengers side. I noticed that the actuator was working on the passengers side but I got a little lost when I noticed there were two actuators on the drivers side. The one that was lower and right next to the gas pedal was working. However, I pulled it out to open it up and see. Rookie mistake because when I installed it back on the motor and everything is working but I don’t think I put the arm back in correctly. Anyone know of what I may have done? I can hear the motor trying to work but now the arm isn’t moving when I reinstalled it.

I did notice however, that the actuator that sits up higher (right behind the steering wheel), isn’t turning. Want to get this fixed but need to make sure I reinstall the lower actuator properly. Would my improper reinstallation of the lower actuator affect the actuator up top or should it be having movement regardless? When I change ac temp there’s no movement on the actuator that’s higher up.

See Page 9 dated Jan 8, 2023. Might help? 3 actuators on driver's side.
