  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,
I just bought the car(still in transit from out of state)
I will be getting my Escort 9500ix hardwired. I was looking at the blendmount website and for choosing the mount I need to choose the type of Rear view mirror the car has. Since, I don't have the car yet ( and I still wanted to order the mount) , can someone kindly check and let me know the mirror type. Here's the link:
https://store.blendmount.com/all-hyundai-mirrors-c2831.aspx

Thanks !

Did you ever get an answer to this?

I already looked into this a few months back, we have the HYU-002

What length did you get for the mirror tap? Do you remember if you got the 9" or the 12"?

I got the 12 just to be on the safe side

Ok I'll get the 12 too then. Is there a lot of slack?

Is there a difference between 1G and 2G mirrors? do both get the same mount "HYU-002"?

I have a friend with a 2012 Genesis Spec R and he is using the HYU-006 BlendMount

I purchased a BBE-2000 BlendMount and a MT-2012 MirrorTap. Works perfectly, just the right amount of slack.

A couple notes on the BlendMount products:

-I really liked the mount itself, but, at least in my Genesis Coupe, it partially blocked the GPS receiver on my Passport Max leading to intermittent GPS failure, so I eventually quit using it. I haven't tried reinstalling it on the sedan, so I'm not sure if it fits or not, or if the Max 360 will have the same problem.

-I could never get the MirrorTap to work, tried different sizes and each time the prongs snapped or bent, wouldn't go in. They replaced and eventually refunded no problem, but just a heads up. I know other people got it to work no problem. I prefer running the cord to the fuse box anyway so I can keep the mute/GPS block button handy.
