Blind Spot Detection Cancelled On Its Own?

We have approx 10000 KMS (6300miles) on our car. We are on a cross country trip and today my BSD cancelled itself while we were driving. It would not turn on again with the button. I pulled over and stopped and started the car again. Blind spot came on automatically (as it usually does) and I drove away.
About an hour later it cancelled itself again. This time I didn't bother stopping but about 1/2 hour later it turned itself on again. Didn't happen again in another 2 hours of driving.
It was raining pretty hard the first time, so I thought that might have something to do with it, but the second time it was sunny and dry.
Anyone else have this happen?

Is my car "broken" (sob, sob)

Any chance your hitting your knee against the button?

I had a glitch once where it stayed on all the time. Corrected itself the next day and has never done it since. Darn computers on board we have nowadays just need to reboot every once in a while.
