  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

They SUCK!!!

Anyone here who has winter tires on their 5.0 most likely have Blizzak LM 32's as these are the only ones available in the staggered stock size when it comes to winter tires. I must say these are the worst winter tire for wear of any I have ever had in my entire life. Normally winter tires last a good 4-5 seasons which even the tires on my previous G1 Genesis easily did. In fact those same wheels/tires were used on my 2010, my 2012 and then were donated to my dad for use on his Lexus ES 350 when I got my G2. Point is, winter tires last quite a long time. My LM 32's have 2 winters on them and the rears are down to the wear indicators! Fronts maybe could get another winter out of them but I personally would not take the chance. I never calculated how many miles I have on the winters but I would say around 25,000 KM/15,000 miles. I see they are having a close out sale on the LM32 at Tire Rack which means they are no longer going to be manufactures, Hmmm, wonder why.

That being said I just purchased 4x Michelin 245/40-19 Xi3's to put on all fours. Yes they fit fine on the wider rear wheel. For those interested, the front wheels are 8.5" and the rears are 9" on the stock 5.0 wheels setup and this tire is recommended for installation on 8" to 9.5. wheels. Technically I am illegal since the tire is only H rated and therefor I guess I am supposed to have my car locked out at 130 mph, yeah right! I am sure these tire will hold up substantially better than the Blizzaks.
